Sun Plast O Met Limited as an assisted unit promoted by A.P. Electronics Development Corporation and located at Gaddapotharam a centrally notified backward area about 25 kms. from Hyderabad, with a total project outlay of about Rs.3.25 Crores.
Backgrouond of the Promoter
Sun Plast O Met Limited was promoted in the year 1988 by Shri K.V.B.Narayana, a post graduate Mechanical Engineer and a first generation entrepreneur hailing from a reputed family. The company was promoted principally to manufacture industrial plastic injection moulded components with financial assistance from APSFC and equity assistance from State Bank of India Equity Fund Scheme and APEDC has also participated to the extent of Rs.4.40 Lakhs in the Equity.
Shri.K.V.B. Narayana before setting up this company worked in Widia (India) Limited, Super Shock Absorbers Limited, Hyderabad Connectronics Limited in various capacities for about 10 years.

Facilities
The unit has excellent infrastructure facilities with fully automatic injection moulding and blow moulding machines of Klockner Windsor (India) Limited in various capacities of 80T, 125T, 180T, 300T, 400T, 600T, 800T, and 5 Lts of blow moulding etc. In addition auxiliary facilities like Drying Ovens, Painting facilities, Colour Mixer, Chilling Plants, Scrap Granulators etc. are also provided. The units range of products weigh from 4 gms to 3500 gms in weights and include Refrigerator parts, Cooler Parts, Office Equipments, Battery Containers, Containers, Sanitary Ware, Caps etc.
The Unit also has 1 No. of 250 KVA 2 Nos. of 125 KVA generators (i.e.) a total of 500 KVA captive power generation facilities for uninterrupted production.
Processing Capability
The unit has qualified and trained manpower with sufficient experience in the processing of various regular polymers like HIPS, GPPS, HDPE, PP etc.
Moulds
The unit has imported few moulds from Korea, Taiwan and have very good contacts with reputed mould manufacturers abroad and in India for developing various quality moulds at competitive rates and in short time.
The under-signed had visited Korea, Taiwan and Japn etc., for the above purpose and have very good personal contacts. The unit has the capability of taking up the development of plastic components from drawings stage including the developing / procuring the quality moulds at reasonable cost (or) on Job-work basis with customers moulds.
Quality Assurance
The unit's main stress is on the quality of the products manufactured. The company supplied its products to various companies with ISO 9001 and ISO 9002 certification and hence obviously the quality levels of the components manufactured by the unit are guaranteed. Certain percentage of the components (i.e.) battery containers, office equipment etc. manufactured by the unit are already being exported by our customers like M/s.Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd., M/s.Sabnife Power Systems Ltd., and M/s.Gestetner (India) Ltd.
The unit also follows sampling plans for evaluation of the quality of the products. In-process inspection is a part of the manufacturing process.
