Sivakami Pressings Pvt. Ltd., started in 1978 manufacturing Pressed parts for Ashok Leyland vehicles. The company has grown since then catering a variety of chasis parts mainly for all trucks and expanded in size and product range ranging from press parts like hub caps, oil flingers, small bracketeries to subassemblies like cross members, cab mtg brkts for any models of all trucks. With a mission to serve automobile industry for sheet metal and fabricated parts, the company has started different units to cater customers like Ford India and other tier - 1 vendors of car manufacturers. The company has two sister concerns catering to passenger car industry - M/s.Sivasakthi Industries and M/s.Sivasakthi Auto Ancilliaries (Madras) P Ltd.
The company has excellent manufacturing facilities ranging presses from 30 Tons to 200 Tons - both Hydraulic and Power Presses. The facilities include a range of CO2 welding machines and Spot welding machines including projection welding attachments. Two shearing machines capable of cutting upto 12mm thick plates support these manufacturing facilities located at two units situated apart by 5 kms. on the IT Highway. The facilities include material handling equipments to ensure that the material is handled efficiently and safely. We have a tool room situated very near to the premises to support the manufacturing and maintenance of Press Tools. With a well-defined quality policy deployed at all levels of the organisation, the company has been certified by M/s.Det Norske Veritas for ISO 9001 - Quality Management System. The sister concerns are also certified for QS 9000 and ISO 14000 by M/s.TUV. The products are manufactured to satisfy the customer needs and the Quality Management System ensures that the customer satisfaction levels are maintained. The manufacturing process is driven by the effective system implementation and skilled work force to avoid any deviation from the standards. The organisation has a well defined structure defining authority and responsibility for every function and the output of each function is measured against the targets. Necessary actions to meet the targets are initiated and the efficiency and effectiveness of each activity is reviewed and monitored for continual improvement. The communication and support facilities include Auto Cad designs for development of parts and preparation of stage drawings for ease of understanding during processing. We have also installed IDEAS software to speed up the tool development activities with a view to make the tools RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.
