| Carritt Moran & Co. (P) Ltd. are the manufactures, traders and service providers for Food products.
The company was founded in 1877 as a partnership firm, Caritt & Company. In 1904 Caritt & Company absorbed the brokerage business of of Moran & Co., creating a new entity Carritt Moran & Company. The company is now among the two largest and oldest Tea Auctioneers worldwide.
As part of its diversification program, Carritt Moran set up a food-processing unit in 1987, Nitya Food products manufacture ethnic spice pastes, pickles and chutneys. The popularity of these authentic receipes has led to the establishment of a state-of-the-art Fruit and Vegatable Unit inaccordance with International guidelines for Food Factories in Batavarapalli, Tamilnadu.
Infrastructure
- The factory is build on 4 acres of a 10-acres tract of cultivate land is used to grow a variety of vegetables and fruits that are used in our production.
- A captive power generation facility has been installed to meet the entire needs of the factory.
- An effluent treatment plant for processing liquid effluents forms a very important part of the factory. The re-cycled product for agricultural initiatives.
20,000 square feet of fruit ripening warehouse space; 750 ton capacity pulp storage vats ensure adequate storage for seasonal produce produce.

Production Facilities
Preservation of flavor and aroma are key aspects in the food processing industry.
